
Eli Mizock is an associate in the firm's New York office, where he focuses on securities class actions fiduciary duty breaches, and new matters. Eli earned his J.D. from UC Law San Francisco, cum laude and authored the note Caremark Claims Following Disasters: Why Plaintiffs Should Sue the Board When It Causes a Disaster.
Eli's practice focuses on securities class actions and fiduciary duty litigation on behalf of investors, with an emphasis on corporate oversight failures, conflicted transactions, and governance misconduct.
Prior to joining the firm, Eli gained litigation experience at a leading plaintiffs' firm and through pro bono work at the Marin County Public Defender's Office. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of California Law, San Francisco, where he is a member of the UC Law SF Honor Society. While in law school, he served as an Editor of the UC Law Journal and as President of the Plaintiffs' Law Association. His note Caremark Claims Following Disasters, published in Volume 77 of the UC Law Journal, examines how derivative claims under Caremark serve shareholders of utility companies following fire disasters. He also studied financial institutions regulation, securities litigation, and took part in the Law & Economics workshop at Columbia Law School. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Reed College.
