Margaret Rockey

Margaret Rockey represents institutional investors in shareholder and governance litigation, with a focus on matters arising in Delaware courts. She earned her J.D., with distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law and holds a B.A. in History and Politics from Whitman College.

Margaret’s practice includes prosecuting fiduciary duty and oversight actions, representing investors in disputes involving conflicted transactions, inadequate processes, and structural governance failures. Her work spans significant derivative and class actions in the Delaware Court of Chancery and federal courts.

Margaret’s current cases include representing institutional shareholders in cases against Endeavor, parent company to the WWE, which is the largest class action case Delaware Chancery history. She also represents shareholders in suits in against SiriusXM, Skechers, AspenTech, Avangrid and Cvent.

While in law school, Margaret served as an elected class representative to the Iowa Student Bar Association, competed on the advanced moot court Baskerville team, and edited for both the Iowa Law Review and the Journal of Gender, Race, and Justice. She also worked as a tutor in the Legal Writing and Academic Success Center, designing curricula and teaching legal writing skills to first-year students. Prior to law school, Margaret taught communications courses and debate at Western Washington University, where she coached the university’s first national championship debate team.

She is admitted to practice in Delaware and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
