
Peyten Sharp conducts corporate investigations for the development of shareholder rights, corporate governance, and securities fraud matters. He researches misconduct and conflicted transactions, primarily in American and European capital markets, to aid the firm in recovering value for institutional investors.
Peyten brings a wide range of legal experience. Prior to joining JVK, he was a legal academic fellow at the U.C. Berkeley Human Rights Center, where he studied enterprise risk management in Mexico and the United States and supervised student research in the Investigations Lab. Peyten also has experience as a summer associate and litigation paralegal at leading global law firms. He speaks English and Spanish.
Peyten holds a J.D. from the U.C. Berkeley School of Law, where he served on the boards of several academic journals, founded an LGBTQ+ legal advocacy clinic, and received Pro Bono Honors with Highest Distinction. He earned his B.A. from Harvard University, concentrating in Psychology with secondary studies in Economics.
